FDRTools Basic is a pack of tools intended to enhance digital photos. This tools will allow users to enrich photos taken with digital cameras, giving them contrast and dynamic range levels that those devices can't obtain, due to their technical limitations. You can create an HDR image, which will be the pure, unmapped version of the image you intend to modify. Then, you will be able to apply Tone Mapping over the image, modifying it according to your desires. Using the Navigator you can visually compare the unmapped and mapped version of the same image, and decide if you want to keep the changes you've made or not. You can define, through the "Tools" window, the sample size and the white, red and blue balance. The "Progress" window will show you a bar indicating the progress of any task started. Another interesting tool is "Alignment". It will allow you to merge several images that are exposed differently, correcting the camera movement. You can also flip or rotate the images, view their EXIF info and save them as TIFF, PNG, JPG, BMP or PPM formats, including metadata. FDRTools Basic is the free version of the FDRTools package.
